Weeks 2 and 3

We've been in Ottawa since Wednesday, the 29th. We're right downtown on the Rideau and it's hot!!! I'm posting many pictures, hopefully, as we've been having a great time and meeting lots of great boaters. What a way to travel! We spent a couple of days in Trenton and had a wonderfule visit with Randy and Sherron who just got back from a long road trip from Thunder Bay. We got to have dinner with them on their anniversary. On the 23rd of June we headed for Kingston under cloudy skies. Spent the night at Confederation Park. As we went by Wolfe Island we noticed this huge wind turbine farm. There must be 50 of them at least. The next day we started our trip up the Rideau. The lockmasters work much harder than on the Trent as the locks are all manual.Made it to Ottawa in 7 days. It's quite an experience to be here for Canada Day. It was fantastic. Plus, from our boat, we could hear the artists performing at the Jazz Festival and the artists performing on Parliament Hill. Saw the young Royals and all the pageantry that goes along. Great fireworks as well.Had a nice visit with Julie, Pat and Liam yesterday. Tomorrow we're heading for the Ottawa River. We'll be going down the last 8 locks which can take 2 to 4 hours. Then Lac Leamy for a little fun. I'll send an update from Montreal as we'll be on wifi.
